Traveling to Paducah, KY Today

We have a long day of travel ahead of us so I will keep this blog short.  Paducah! Here I come!

I finished listening to The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo.  The audio book is over 17 hours long.  I wasn't sure I would like it, but I was hooked after the first chapter.  The characters are well developed and just a wee bit quirky.  Lisbeth Salander is one of those characters you don't want to be around because she is very strange and anti-social.  But she is also a brilliant computer geek with a passion for digging up the truth.

Funny, by the time I finished this book, it did not feel like it had been 17 hours.  I can't wait to read....er...listen to the other two books.

  1. We watched the 3 movies in that series. You get hooked and want to see what going to happen! The movies were subtitled but they were so interesting I didn't even mind! My DH said they are remaking them in English. Enjoy Paducah!

  3. Several of my friends on Good Reads gave that a high rating. I sure wish I had access to audio tape ... or whatever they have these days.

  4. Greetings from Tunisia! Just stopped by from Quilting Bloggers to enjoy your blog while trying to beat the heat. Your "mug rugs" are so adorable and I particularly like your appliqué as I'm rather hooked on needle-turn appliqué. Thanks for sharing! Now I'll go stick my head in the freezer.
    best, nadia

  5. I sent you an email Julie. You can upload audio books online to your computer. I use an iPod, but others use their laptops and I hear that eBooks are now being used as well.

  6. Hello Nadia, Wow! Tunisia! Don't you just love the internet? It has certainly made the world a lot smaller. I will definitely be visiting your blog.
Thank you! I'm happy that you like my appliqué and the mug rugs. Stay cool and come out of the freezer once in awhile to blog! Sandy
