A Cure For Cabin Fever (Newhalem Bay State Park, OR)

I do believe we have all been suffering from cabin fever.  It has been raining almost every day for two weeks.  Even our cats are starting to look like caged animals by walking aimlessly back and forth through the motorhome.  We have managed to get them out a few times for walks, but not enough to keep them happy.
To cure our (humans only) cabin fever, we managed to get out and see a few sights.  We found Manzanita  to be a quaint and interesting little town, but we just drove through since we were going to Tillamook to get our groceries.  We will have to come back for a visit since we like Newhalem Bay State Park and would like to come back someday.   Along the way, we stopped by the Port of Girabaldi to stretch our legs and to enjoy the views.
Before we left Ft. Stevens State Park, we walked around the old battery.  The barracks are gone, but the battery is still there to walk around along with an interesting museum.

Getting out a few times during the last two weeks helped, but I am ready for a couple of days of dry weather.  Tomorrow, we move on down the road to Newport, OR.  I'm ready to sit still for a couple of weeks after moving almost every week during September.

On The Cutting Board
I finished the embroidery on two more happy campers.  I found some more aqua fabric.  This time I bought a yard of it.  The design on the aqua fabric is perfect for the happy campers with rabbits, flowers, squirrels, and butterflies.
I finished the embroidery on another UFO.  This is another wall hanging design is from Nancy Halvorsen. I had started this one in the early spring, so I need to get this one done soon.  I can't believe it is October already.  Thanksgiving will be here before I know it!
Last night, I started a yellow happy camper.  I have several ideas for this one.  Deciding is a big problem for me as to what will work the best.  More on that later...I do know that I'm going to embroider this one with a rainbow of colors.
I haven't done a thing with my witch wall hanging.  We are on limited electrical power while staying in the state parks.  That means, it is hard for me to use the iron while we are heating our home, or using the instant hot for my much needed hot tea, or using the microwave without blowing a fuse.  Oh sure, I could have found time between using the others.  I'm just being lazy and I feel it will be easier to do my ironing when I can do it for a couple of hours without stopping to warm up the motorhome.  Unplugging for tea?....oh yea, I do that alllll the time.  As a matter of fact, I'm ready for a hot cup of green tea right now!
Happy Trails!
