Meet our little friend - Anna's Hummingbird. He spends a lot of time in the trees near our motorhome. He keeps up a constant chatter while we are outside and near his feeder. Heavens forbid if we are standing under "his" feeder. He loves to buzz our heads.

Chilly day, isn't it? |

I see you trying to sneak up on me |

Do not go near my feeder! |
I just love hummers. I can't wait till it starts to warm her in Wisconsin and they return. I love sitting out on the deck when they come up to the feeders. They are like little helicopters. They'll be chasing each other and come buzzing right past my face. They also will hover in front of me, as if to say,"what are you doing here?".
ReplyDeleteHe sure has himself fluffed up in the pic above!

Hi Patty, They are a lot of fun to watch. I know! I get the same feeling when this one confronts me. Not to mention, how upset he gets when I take down his feeder. How do you say in Hummingbird: "it's empty"? :0)
ReplyDeleteSo cute, I <3 Humming birds!!
ReplyDeleteLovely Photos!
Thanks Megha!
DeleteSo, so adorable! Humming Birds are wonderful, we have lots of them here, of course three humming bird feeders on the back porch would attract quite a few of them LOL!
ReplyDeleteOooh! That sounds wonderful! I have only seen that twice with many hummingbirds feeding in one area. I hear most are very territorial and will not allow others to eat from "their" feeder.
