I have been using some floral prints, going through a huge collection and separating them into groups of several meters that could be used for backing or featured fabric, quarter or half yard pieces (wondering what the friend had in mind when she bought them,) and small scraps that can me chopped up for scrap quilts. Our mold problem happens during the rainy season between spring and summer. I think my stacking buckle boxes avoid problems ... but only the sorted fabrics. I can easily imagine the disappointment of finding mold in your overhead cabinets, the disarray of pulling everything out to clean them and the interruption of momentum in your quilting project. Rain, rain, rain, we've been in enough sodden places to know how quickly mold develops in that environment. We battle with mold regularly on our boat but, here in the tropics, it's humidity that's the enemy. Incredible how it can take over so quickly and thankfully we're experiencing a little reprieve from it now with drier winter months. Cats are so funny; Dusty reminds me of our Çaskia, she would get that same bored lethargic look when it rained and also insisted on us opening the door as proof. Max is clearly loving his new bed. It's tough for me to think of him getting older. Made a donation quilt of those a few years ago out of a moda pack that I loved. Maybe I'll have to start one up again. It isn't hard to do and looks so wonderful when done. Especially with scrappy stuff. Rain rain rain. We have had a lot this winter it seems, but even more fog. And our little walking road down Village Lane where we try to take the dog every day is thick and green with moss just like your photo. The sky was a murky gray today and it was the hot topic on line and on the news, tomorrow too! I can’t smell, but I could feel it, even in our house, so I feel bad for you guys!

So sorry to hear about Dan!! It kind of seems like Hubs went to a VA in Roseburg once when we were out there. Is that where he will be going for his treatments? Hubs is retired military so I wondered. He took that with his injuries from Vietnam instead of disability. If I being too nosy no problem! Anyway I’m praying for a great outcome with the treatment! I suppose you won’t be able to go in with him with the Covid. That just sucks for couples and different situationsother than that illness, and even with that one too at the end.
